Tennessee May is an indie pop artist, producer, and songwriter based in South Harlem.
She delights in fantasy as both a means of escape and self discovery, and loves to explore what fantasy can mean in a musical context. Can the creation of a song be a sort of world building? Tennessee’s music makes the case that it can and should be.
In 2025, Tennessee May released two singles, “Restless” and “Happy.” Both songs are synth driven and heartbroken. She then welcomed 2026 with an acoustic cover of the band Beirut’s song “Nantes.”A debut album is in the works.
